Books about frugal cooking and saving money on groceries

Recommended Posts

This isn't specifically about saving money, but ultimately getting away from convenience "boxed" foods does that. It's not even really a "cookbook" although it has recipes. It's more a "how-to" book. It's just .99 right now too!

Better than a Box

Here's another pretty good cookbook:

$5 Dinner Mom Cookbook

She actually has several different cookbooks. This is just the dinner one. I checked them out from the library.

I like the $5 Dinner mom- I've made quite a few recipes from her that were quite good.

Also, you're saving money if you cook once and eat twice, or repurpose leftovers. In that vein, I like Robin Miller's Quick Fix Meals, as she'll have you make one main item- say a pork loin, and then show you how to turn that into three days of meals.
