momsuz123
We are doing SOTW 2 and really enjoying it. What must haves do you really think are just awesome and well, must have? My kiddos are 9 & 7 - the older one is reading far beyond her age (but she still doesn't like how some of the advanced books have itty bitty little print - but both love history. Thanks. Julie Smith
Those Diane Stanley books look really nice, and my library has some of them. Thank you for mentioning them.

mom@shiloh
Great list. I'll add a few: Two Travelers and The Blue Mouse by Christopher Manson -- much loved by my 7-10 group Minstrel in the Tower Beggars, Beast and Easter Fire (short chapters on Christian heroes) Viking Adventure by Bulla Leif the Lucky The Silk Route by Majors I think they could read most of those independently. A few that we've done as read-alouds and were well received by 7-adult: Son of Charlemagne (Willard) The Star and the Sword Augustine Came to Kent (Willard -- she's one of my favorite authors, btw) Red Keep by Allen French (I get begged for this one every night currently) We're also really enjoying listening to An Island Story on Librivox.
