mo2 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Can anyone highlight the differences for me between Hake and this free grammar workbook from Glencoe? http://www.glencoe.com/sites/alabama/teacher/languageart/assets/workbooks.html I don't intend to use the writing portion of Hake, so I'm only interested in the grammar. Thanks. Quote
Kalmia Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Well, for the first thing Hake 8 is 681 pages long and Glencoe 8 Grammar Practice and the Grammar Enrichment are each only 52 pages long. There seems to be a Grammar Workbook that is 343 pages long, but I can't get any more than the title page and contents to come up so I assume that part isn't free. The topics covered seem generally the same. Hake has diagramming. This Glencoe doesn't seem to. Hake has continual review of content. The Glencoe Practice and Enrichment ones don't seem to do that. mo2 Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 The Glencoe Grammar Workbook is free, it't just a little tricky to get to. I think we probably need a lot of review, so I'm leaning towards Hake. Quote
