IceFairy
....for more than a year or two in K-8, how did you cycle it? I love the look of BF and want to use Early American for a K/1st next year ...but I have no clue where to go from there.
acsnmama
Good question, I plan on using it this fall, and I saw on their website that it can be spread over 2 years, but I'm not sure how, other than calculating the # of lessons by how many weeks of homeschooling that would cover, so maybe just one lesson a week? briansmama
We are using BF Early American History guide with my 3rd grader this semester. We are taking a break from World History and plan to alternate 20 weeks w/US History and 20 weeks w/SOTW. We also use Map Trek with the BF guide, BTW. It's been really fun! Although, I would add that I don't really think the BF guide is necessary for early American History if you have a good Booklist and already have a grasp on narration and notebooking, etc. The free Booklist at Guest Hollow is excellent, IMO. I kind of wish I would have just purchased the books and not the guide.
hollyh
Hoping this isn't hijacking - but adding to the thread, but are there any good sites for notebooking or add ons to the curriculum beyond the guide?
