yucabird Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 My husband said summer camps were not popular when he was young, but things may have changed. If so, can someone recommend some nice places for primary school-age children? Quote
yucabird Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 bump My MIL may not be physically able to visit us anymore, so I am trying to think of some ways for her to visit with the girls. I would also like for my older to attend a summer camp…. Ideally my daughter, who will be seven in May, would attend camp for a week before spending a couple weeks with her grandmother. Quote
Laura Corin Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Summer camp does not have the same tradition as in the US, but there are companies that provide activity holidays for children. Googling those words will probably give you more hits. One company that has been in the market for a long time (I went on one of their holidays when I was a teenager) is PGL. Laura Quote
yucabird Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 Thanks, Laura. I did a quick check; PGL looks promising. I'll spend some time googling later. Quote
lailasmum Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 It's just not common here. There is one near us that has been running a couple of years called Camp wild but I seem to remember they only start at 8yrs for residential though (double check because that might be wrong). Quote
