ThisIsTheDay
It's hardly a pressing problem, I know. We're having soup night, homemade beef noodle soup, and pumpkin soup. A very good friend and her son are coming, but this will be very casual, regular family dinner. One soup is a clear broth, one is cream, and baked potatoes don't match with the cream soup. Salad--eh. It's cold out, and there are too many different preferences to try to suit everyone. I am not a bread baker, although if I can't figure out anything more appealing, I'll just pick up some kind of bread at the store. I'd like something relatively healthy and yummy. So what would you have? Or what should I have? (Hmm. I have everything to make bruschetta . . . )
LaxMom
Biscuits? I don't think you could go wrong with those or a hearty whole grain bread.
Parrothead
Crackers?
KungFuPanda
Grilled cheese sandwiches! Use good, thick-cut bread and a nice cheese like sharp cheddar.

Janie Grace
I'd just get a nice grainy bread at the store. Maybe bake some muffins if you feel like it.
KatieJ
Cheesy biscuits or some cornmeal muffins. Serve cheese on the side with some crackers.
momofkhm
I'd go to the store and buy bread. And salad is ok even if it is cold.
OH_Homeschooler
You can buy frozen loaves of bread and you just have to thaw them out, let them rise, then bake. Put some herbs and parmesan on top to make it pretty and you've got baked bread! But you'd need to get started on that thawing ASAP. I think there are usually instructions for quick thawing. TN Mama
A good crusty bread and salad. Yum! That's a perfect supper.
Unicorn.
I like the idea of bruschetta and garlic cheese toast- Perfect. If you wanted to throw in a desert, you could do warm, cinnamon apples.
saraha
http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Butter-Dip-Breadsticks We love these breadsticks, and there is no rising, so quick to make
ThisIsTheDay
Yum, great ideas! We went with the corn muffins, but the cheese sandwiches were a close second, and I am saving that breadsticks recipe to try another time. :) Thank you!
