Jean in Newcastle
Wednesday is already out of the gate, it's rounding the corner. . . go, Wednesday, go! Done already: Dressed. Made coffee (hope I did it right) Called airlines and have tracked one of our guests bags to France and the other to L.A. Was assured that they would reach him at his next destination (since he's leaving here today). Was told that I'd be reimbursed for the clothes we bought him yesterday. Called the dogs off of tearing our other guest apart. For some reason they do not take to him at all. Dogs are banned to the cold outdoors until he leaves later this morning. To do: Make breakfast for everyone See the men off. Get library bag ready Do school at library this morning. Clean kitchen Lots of laundry. Laundry has been jettisoned from the schedule for the last two days. Buzz ds15's head at his request I'll add more later - maybe. Or I might crash somewhere in the fetal position. . . . Lizzie in Ma
I'll play! Got up at 3am to load the stove, it is 9 degrees here. Up again at 6 as always, added more wood to stove. Went outside to switch out the chicken's water with a non-frozen one and feed them. Made lunches and put crock pot beef stew back on to warm for lunch. Took youngest to orthodontist to get her braces put on, took 3 hours. Her best friend was by her side getting hers on too so we gave them a day off school and they are hanging out together. Laundry is up next and it is change all the sheets day.
GraciebytheBay
Even though it is already afternoon, I will post. This has been a day of feeling sorry for myself so far, and I am determined that today I will be productive! Here's my afternoon: *Write some thank you notes *Clean out my pantry of gross food *Run through some school work with kiddos *Sweep the downstairs *Straighten the downstairs and attack clutter on the kitchen table. *Run a load of laundry and see it through to folding and putting away. *Plan my co-op lesson for tomorrow. These are my goals. I will not be paralyzed by emotions today! Maybe typing this out on a public forum will help keep me accountable. RoughCollie
Cleaned kitchen Made 4 doz banana - chocolate chip muffins (which I hate and everyone else loves) Chicken is in the crockpot Fed the birds for the first time this winter* Cleaned off the kids' car Texted son about his new plans for this afternoon Bank & Quicken done Ordered sweat pants from Lands End for DS3 Cleaned out pellet stove while it was very hot -- I must have good fine motor skills because I handled the tool skillfully and didn't burn myself -- I'm a good little monkey! Still to do: Vacuum downstairs Sweep downstairs Mop downstairs Clean bathroom 2 loads laundry Finish fixing dinner Spend time with the dog Text DD about how she'll need to get a ride home * Oh my gosh! One tufted titmouse showed up about 15 minutes after I filled the bird feeder. Birds must communicate with each other because I just looked out the window and birds are landing all over the place, on the way to the (until now) bird-free feeder. I have to go find a serving tray to put seeds on for the ground feeders. My dear, sweet, pileated woodpecker is back for the third winter! Jean in Newcastle
Make breakfast for everyone See the men off. Get library bag ready Do school at library this morning. "Helped" the librarian fix the self check in machine by running in my 53 books while he tried to figure out why it was spitting every book back at me! He finally got it fixed. Desert Rat
I'll join in! Done: Had a serious discussion with ds12 about the terrible work he turned in yesterday. :( Watched science videos Math, latin, spelling and writing done with ds9 Lined out ds12 for the day, including all the redos from yesterday. Got email correspondence caught up. Got a list started for next week's science projects. This afternoon: I have a house to clean. Visit with my uncle. :) That's a little ray of sunshine. He's my favorite uncle and I'm so glad for his visit. It's been an emotional couple of days with terrible news on several fronts and some difficult conversations. I'm hoping today doesn't bring anymore bad news and I can get through work without my sinus headache returning.

Just as grueling as I thought it would be, but it's done.
shanvan
I'll join in! Done: Had a serious discussion with ds12 about the terrible work he turned in yesterday. :( Oh! We had one of those too, this morning and I forgot to include it on my done list. Ours was in reference to all the shoddy chores being done and how much of my time is being taken up chasing after them to re-do. I put it in terms they could understand. You know, they could see that I could not take them ice skating b/c all the things I needed to do didn't get done b/c I was so busy chasing them down and standing over them watching them do their chores! Jean in Newcastle
I slept for 3 hours. I woke up again with swollen glands. I had swollen glands this morning when I woke up too. I took oscillo and it went away for the morning. Must be time for more oscillo. My blood sugar has gone out of control again too. Something going on. Anyway, as I was drifting off to sleep I know I thought of something that I had to do upon waking. But what was it? Now I can't remember! Was it really something that had to be done today or was it the beginning part of a dream?

Stopped by the store for dinner stuff. Showered and ready to do my hair. Over to Mom's for a family dinner. I'm counting Wednesday as done! Success! shanvan
Called Mom to wish her Happy Birthday - she is now 88. Was that the special thing that you were trying to remember? I hate when I know I need to remember something, but I don't know what it is.
Jean in Newcastle
Was that the special thing that you were trying to remember? I hate when I know I need to remember something, but I don't know what it is. Maybe. . . But I think it might have been to call my doctor - which I do need to do but can't today because it's too late. I also returned ds15's CD to the library which seemed to have hopped out of the library suitcase when we were returning things earlier. And we went to the grocery store for supper. Bought something that takes 1 hour 30 min. to bake (ack!) - realized that we were hungry NOW and went back to the grocery store for Chinese. (The one nice thing about dh being out of town is that I don't cook.)
