hollyh
I want to make bedding for my girls' room. I want some pretty designer fabrics that I see on etsy, etc... but don't know where to find them? Am I going to find it at my local Joann's? Or are there websites that I should look at? Thanks! catz
This is local to us, but you can order online. They have a fantastic selection of designer fabrics. I sometimes combine their fabrics with stuff from Joann's or Hancock and it's always sorely disappointing working with the cheaper fabric. The fabrics I've gotten there have better weight, drape, iron/wash beautifully, etc. http://shopcraftyplanet.com/
redheadmom
Joanns usually has a good selection. Hobby Lobby also carries some fabric. You can usually find coupons for both online. Fabric.com is also good if you are OK without seeing or in my case feeling it first. I really like to touch fabric to feel the texture and weight. itsheresomewhere
Fabric.com and jandofabrics.com Both have fantastic customer service.
Anne in CA
Fabricworm is one of my favorite online fabric shops. They have the most fun stuff.
Beth S
A jiffy way to make a bed comforter to use two large flat bedsheets, and quilt them.
KatieJ
If you can figure out the name of the designer you can do an online search for those specific fabrics. Sometimes they will even show up on Ebay. I am not as fond of Hobby Lobby Fabric as I am of other fabric stores. I do shop at JoAnns for fleece and flannel as they have great sales. I am blessed in living near a huge local fabric store. They have about 5 - 6 in the area. Field's Fabric. I think you can order online from them, but am not sure you would find a good sale that way.
