pollo_la
If you have used ACE Math for kindergarten how did it go? Did you like it?
basschick
I used the ACE curriculum in grade 3 and 4 and I can tell you that it was a complete joke. I whizzed through it and never learned a thing except how to copy and fill in the blanks. I can't speak about the kindergarten level, and I should also mention that my experience with it was 30 years ago. Things may have changed. pollo_la
Thanks... yeah, I'm not very impressed with the upper grades. However, I have a K'er who is still struggling with number recognition and I thought maybe some "circle the correct number" and "fill in the blank with the correct number" would help her. We have used the Rod and Staff preschool books which look similar. But now I'm looking for something different. Anyone else?
morningcoffee
I was going to post that I have used some ACE math and found it very weak and then I saw that you have the same opinion of the upper grades. :) But I think you could use the kinder math in the way you have described to reinforce the basic concepts before moving onto another curriculum. I also think you could probably save yourself some money and just buy some basic kinder math workbooks such the ones published by Spectrum, Evan Moor or School Zone. I used this site a lot in Kindergarten http://www.kidzone.w...indergarten.htm HTH
