Have you had any experience with the new classified board?

If so, how did it go? I'm getting together some things I might like to sell so I'm wondering.

 

Have you had any problems posting items? Are you getting inquiries? Are there features you wish were there that aren't?

I posted and sold. The new board is very nice and has features that were not there before. I love the feature that allows you to advance your posting without having to post something.

I sold one thing...to a friend. It's impossible to search and find things and I miss the old format. I hope selling is slow because it's not buying season quite yet, but I really need the money! I usually sell more by now!

I was looking for something the other day but I quit since there wasn't a search feature. I didn't want to scroll forever.

I sold 3 things the other day after I advanced my postings from a month ago. I agree with the search function not working things are moving more slowly than they used to, but I'm sure things will eventually get worked out.

It felt slow to me, but it IS January, lol.

I've bought on there, but it is VERY hard without the search function, it's been more of a scan until I see something I need. I've also posted WTB ads, but haven't gotten any responses.

I've got two things listed (Latin, no less!) and have not had any inquiries at all. :(

I've got a few things listed. One inquiry and then I didn't hear back. :( I've got more to list, but I don't know if I will bother. I could really really use the money (and it's stuff like SOTW and FLLFTWTM no less!), but it doesn't look like the classified boards here are going to be the way to go.

I listed some things and didn't even get inquiries. They should be popular curriculum, and my prices are good, I think.

I'm looking forward to the return of the feedback that I had acquired on the old board. I believe that OtherJohn is still working to that end.

 

I have seen changes recently that indicate to me that steps are being taken to improve the Classified board (for example, I can now see all of my ads when I click on "More from this advertiser" -- that was not the case until very recently).

Based on a post/request here at WTM about a year ago, we got a FB group going for those that preferred selling via that format. The link is in my signature if you're interested. Not everyone there is from these forums, but many are.

The search function is working now. It still needs some work, but at least you *can* search.

 

A search for "Math u See" will return any post with any of the words (if it has "math" in it, or "see" in it).

I have bought, but am not able to give feedback. The form just keeps getting returned saying that it wasn't filled out. Also wasn't able to search.

I've responded to two different posts on the WTB portion, using the "Contact Advertiser Directly" option, and have never received any kind of response back from either of them. I don't know if they didn't receive the message or just weren't interested.

 

I considered contacting them through the regular PM option, but felt funny about possibly bothering them if they actually weren't interested.

I don't like the new classified board as I also did not want to do endless scroll downs with no search option.

 

I hope some changes are made before I really want to buy/sell again.
