Nan in Mass
While we're on the subject of UMass schools... Does anyone have a student going to a UMass school in the fall? If so, what are you doing about the "proof of graduation"? From the section on homeschoolers on the UMass Amherst admissions site: "Home-schooled students who are admitted are required to provide the university with proof of graduation in one of the three following ways: An official final transcript from the local school district. An official final transcript from a home school association or agency. An official GED score report." I know this has been discussed before, but it was mostly speculation or older information. I am wondering if anyone has a student going in the fall, one to whom these guidelines applies, and if so, how you are dealing with it? Just curious (curious as in, haven't heard from any colleges yet so don't know yet if we have to deal with this but still finding it worrisome curious grin), Nan
cave canem
I am also eager to hear how this policy is being implemented. Lee in New England

I knew this type of requirement was out there, I just didn't know where. It hasn't cropped up in any of the schools on my side of the country that I have researched. Extra test scores seem to make admissions happy.
