Cod Liver Oil...and a question

I have been taking liquid CLO on a rotational basis for some time. I could swallow it fine without any after effects. Then I purchased some capsules and an unpleasant flavor comes back up hours later.

Has anyone experienced this and does this ONLY happen with capsules? I do need to get more since I am low in DHA and EPA but would like to avoid the "after taste."

Back to only liquid CLO?

I've taken the liquid and the capsules and it's happened with both. I had more success with the liquid with lemon added- not as bad of a tasting burp later! ;)

Yes, the liquid I took had a fruit flavor which made it easier to swallow.

I may have to experiment with this.

I have taken both capsules & liquid at different times. I have definitely found that if I take it with at least 1/2 glass of pure orange juice, I don't get the aftertaste.

I heard if you keep them in the freezer and take the pills frozen it will eliminate this problem.

I take Nordic Naturals Arctic Cod Liver Oil soft gels. Never an aftertaste like others I've used.

DH takes Green Pasture's fermented CLO capsules. He says they don't have an aftertaste. The liquid and emulsion versions are supposed to be fairly decent if you get the flavored kind.
