hands-on-mama
Of curriculum and supplies! I bought pretty much everything that goes along with HWOT (all the manipulatives and whatnot). We used them for a while, but now they are just sitting. My freak out about my daughter's handwriting has officially ended and now I'm wondering if it's worth it to keep it. I have no doubts that my youngest will be fine without it. S what do I do?? Sell it to fund AAR or hold on to it in hopes of actually using it? What do you do when you come across a predicament such as this?
speedmom4
I also have this problem. I have been homeschooling for 13 years and it has always been hard for me to let go. I have sold things at used curriculum sales and made lots of money but I usually regret selling. I have been known to rebuy things that I have sold so now I just hang onto things. Hopefully you get better responses than this!!!! Elise in NC

Personally, I would not sell a handwriting curriculum with a 3 year old in the house, unless she already had handwriting down pat. I would also not sell anything (unless I hated it and found it unusable for me as a teacher) if I planned to have more children in the future. For books, I weed through, keeping what we loved and selling/donating what was just average or utilitarian.
boscopup
I'd sell it. I wish I had sold the RS A manipulatives when I sold the TM. I have not used them, and I don't foresee needing to use them. My son who needed manipulatives does great with C-rods. And now, the thought of figuring out where everything is and listing it for sale makes me shudder. So there they sit... not being used. I'm sure I'd be in the same position with HWT stuff. My oldest could have used them, but the next two kids really don't need them. The three year old has crazy good fine motor skills and can trace really well with either hand (he leans left handed). I can probably hand him a workbook, and his writing will be fine. Although, unless God performs a miracle, there will be no more babies. My tubes are tied. ;) Idk. I may wait and see.
hands-on-mama
Well, I got my answer. I have been enlisted by my friend to homeschool her two young kiddos for at least the next year. She is having a third and has pretty bad anxiety. She doesn't want them in the school system, but feels like she can't handle homeschooling yet. It works out perfectly because her oldest is the same age as my oldest. He has no experience with writing, so I think HWOT would be perfect for him. I'm glad i held off now. Plus, it will be a little extra income for me. :) I already checked and it is legal in our state.
kiwik
That is really cool. Wish I could afford to pay someone to care for mine while I work so I could home school.
dm379
Me too! I'm starting to hand them down to my sister who is homeschooling her son so that at least they stay in the family. Awesome solution. :)
