zelli21 Posted January 16, 2013 Share Posted January 16, 2013 I stumble accross TATRAS (http://www.verticalphonics.com/) in one of my many searches of reading programs. Can someone tell me more about it? There's aren't any samples so it is hard to gage how it works. The concept of vertical phonics intrigues me. How long does it take to complete the program/how long a day? What is involved in the daily schedule? Any rough estimate of the reading level once complete? Do you need to follow up with something after? I have a third grader who is struggling with reading (and spelling) and am looking to get her caught up as easily and quickly as possible. She is a twin and is constantly saying she wants to read chapter books like her brother. I'd like to use it with a younger child as well. Thanks.
