Megicce
I'm cobbling together a K core curriculum based on global geography/cultures - studying one country a week, with a couple of literature books, art projects, cooking, plus basic mapwork to build an awareness of geography and different cultures before we jump into SOTW in 1st Grade. I'm looking for a great nonfiction spine that covers many different countries, with good illustrations/pictures and information appropriate for K/1st Grade level. I love and trust the recommendations from folks on this forum, so I thought I'd ask for recommendations before I comb the Internet and preview 50 books from the local library. :) Thank you! iona
Children Just Like Me may work. It has lots of pictures, focuses on actual children and their lives and is organized by continent. http://www.walmart.c...wl5=pla&veh=sem Maybe your library has it so you can look it over.
