Mrs Mungo
A lot of different people here donated blankets and prayer shawls to be given to families (mostly children) who were mourning a loved one lost in action. Over the past two years we have given out about 25 such blankets, thanks to the people here, Project Linus and other caring individuals. Last week I gave out what I sincerely hope will be the last two blankets that I will need to give out, since we will soon be leaving this position soon. I am thankful for those of you who made blankets, prayed over them and who continue to hold our families in your thoughts and prayers. I have a handful of blankets left to pass on to our replacements. Some people have contacted me asking if more blankets/shawls are needed. If you are still interested in helping, then I would urge you to contact the nearest Project Linus as they are continuing to send blankets out to critically ill children and (in the case of chapters near military bases) children who have lost a parent. Thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart. I know these blankets have been a small comfort to our families in a time of great sadness.
