I am miserable.

I haven't vomited since 6 30 (knock on wood). The other times were 2 - 3 hours apart, so I hope this is a short lived bug.

I mixed a tsp of honey into chamomile tea and took a sip. Will sip again in 30 min or so.

That sounds like what I had a couple months ago. The vomiting lasted about half a day, and I was left with diarrhea for another day. I had a pretty high fever in there too. I just sipped water when I could and once I was confident the throwing up was over, I ate bland foods. And I took pepto as often as I could. Really the best thing was time. It was horrible but the worst was over within 36 hours. Then I was just really tired for another day.

I had that same virus - :grouphug:

What finally helped me was very, very small sips of water. Then watered down ginger ale.

When I could hold that down I made a slushie out of blue gatoraid, ice and ginger ale and took very small bites of it. That finally settled my stomach and I felt much better.

BTW- the slushie recipe came from a nurse on our insurance 'ask a nurse' line. It was wonderful.

I'm hoping that is what it is.

I need to ask someone to get me Pepto. I have Mylanta, but the taste alone makes me wanna vomit.

I'm just trying to keep my mind off the nausea and sipping my tea every half hour. If I still haven't vomited by 2, I'll try some watered down ginger ale.

You can also add some ginger (powdered spice) to your tea if you have some on hand. That helps too.

Hope you feel better soon! :grouphug:

I am feeling much better this evening. I think my fever broke (I didn't check with a thermometer but I don't feel warm anymore). Was able to drink some ginger ale and Gatorade. I'll probably make that slushie from up thread tomorrow. Also have some dry toast tomorrow.

I also got a call back for an interview for a job, so the whole day wasn't bad :)

Gatorade always works for me.

Great news about the interview!
