Upstairs toilet overflowed and flooded to downstairs

Help! One of my kids used the bathroom just before bed tonight and apparently did not notice that the toilet had become stopped up. Thankfully dh was still up watching football downstairs. He heard it dripping through the ceiling fan onto the dining room table. We have mopped up the water and one of our maintenance guys is here fixing the toilet, but I'm worried about the potential for mold between the 2 floors. What do I need to be sure they do to avoid the mold? There's one spot about the size of a kitchen towel that has bulked and cracked from the water, so it must have been a lot that is/was between the floors.

Make sure the electricity to the fan is cut at the circuit breaker.

When that happened my husband cut a hole in the ceiling so we could put fans in the area to make sure air was circulating. It required a repair afterwards but we figured that would be a whole lot cheaper than dealing with mold down the road.
