elizabeth rose Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 So if LLATL doesn't contain enough writing instruction, what would be a good way to supplement that? I'm thinking for a 5th and 3rd grader. Would Evan moor workbooks fit the bill? Quote
Juliegmom Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I don't have any experience with LLATL, but for what it's worth, my 3rd grader will be doing Evan Moor's Daily 6 Trait Writing along with Igniting Your Writing. Quote
elizabeth rose Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Ok, is igniting your writing also an Evan moor book? Thanks! Quote
Susie in MS Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 One year, around 7th or 8th grade, we added Wordsmith to LLATL. We never had any other writing program other than what was in the unit studies or a handbook. My kids turned out to be fantastic writers. My dd would even find errors the college professor missed while grading papers. Quote
elizabeth rose Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Thanks, I was looking through orange this morning, it does contain lots of writing and instruction. I think we will just stick to LLATL. Quote
Juliegmom Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Igniting Your Writing can be purchased in PDF format through Currclick for $10. I was wanting something to go along with our 6 trait writing workbook. When I saw it on sale for $5 and that it was one of Heart of Dakota's recommendations, I figured I had nothing to lose. I like the look of it and am looking forward to adding it to our writing curriculum for next year. Quote
