Blog help, please!

I have been trying to add a button(?) to my new blogger blog. It's actually the 52 books in 52 weeks Mr. linky button. Ive read a few different ways online and tried, but they are complicated and I must be doing something wrong, because it's not working. I know how to insert a regular link to something in the text of my post, but can't figure out how to add a button link in the sidebar.

 

Can anyone help or point me in the direction of a clear step by step solution? Thanks.

You can't add mr linky to your side bar but what you can do add the 52 books picture and link. Copy the blog widget to your computer:

 

 

Go to layout and click on add a gadget. Choose Image widget. Upload the image from your computer, then add the url link

Put in a title or caption if you want, then save.

 

This is the easiest way to put a picture and link on your sidebar and how I do all my links.

Thank you! That makes much more sense than the instructions I was reading. I didn't know it was just an image with a link.

Now I need to compose my week 2 post before week 3 starts tomorrow.
