TheApprentice
Ds will be a 10th grader next year. This year he is doing Saxon Alg. 2, which has geometry interspersed. He's not really loving it, but he's doing pretty well. Architecture/Engineering is probably in his future. Thinking on changing his math for the next 3 years. Seasoned homeschoolers, what would you suggest? If I make a change, what would you choose? TIA
Kareni
Seasoned homeschoolers, what would you suggest? If I make a change, what would you choose? My daughter used Margaret Lial's books for Algebra I and II. Between those two years, she did Geometry using Harold Jacobs' book. She went on to the local community college which used Sullivan's PreCalculus for both her College Algebra and Trigonometry classes. As a family, we are big fans of Margaret Lial's books (though we have no experience with her Geometry text). My husband, who tutors math and science, is currently teaching a PreCalculus class using a Lial's book. Regards, Kareni
