ktgrok
So....dh calmed down, he finished a work project that was stressing him and that made things easier to deal with. He said last night he will either ask our DD's godfather to be DS's godfather as well, or if he doesn't I'll call my uncle in Wisconsin and have him do it via a proxy. He will let me know what the situation is when he gets home from work. In more sad news, an hour ago my sister called me crying. A very good friend of hers, that has been known to our family since elementary school, has had a sister that was sick with cancer. The sister died today. So my sister wanted to know if it was ok if she goes to the funeral if it is on Sunday so her friend won't be alone. I of course said yes. I want her at the baptism but my so won't know she isn't there, and her friend will know she isn't there. I have to say...I'm a liberal progressive kind of Christian, and don't spend much time thinking about Satan. But it REALLY seems like something or someone doesn't want this baptism to happen. I'll be very glad when it is all over and we can just celebrate!

ktgrok
Ok, DD's Godfather is going to do it, but can't be there so it will be done via a proxy. I was going to have BIL be the proxy, but since he will be at a funeral it looks like maybe the Godmother's husband, or a random parishoner. I could ask my dad but I think he would be self conscious. Mama Geek
I am glad things are working out, even though it isn't exactly how you pictured it. :grouphug:
nono
Hang in there. This may be your child who goes on to be a priest!
unsinkable
Hang in there. This may be your child who goes on to be a priest! On the baby's first birthday, you put a dollar, a shot glass and a rosary in front of him. What ever he grabs first is what his future is going to be. Dollar=wealthy. Rosary=priest or nun. Shot glass=drinker!

It is a powerful event, which I know you know.
