Look what I found for Shakespeare studies....so cute

Why, oh why must people do this? I just had to click on that link, then I just had to buy that well-priced, fun item and then I just had to order more from my wish list to get free shipping! Just kidding! I had an Amazon gift card from Christmas burning a hole in my pocket anyway. Thanks for the tip - cant wait to begin Shakespeare with my 8 year old this spring!

We jumped on the bandwagon with this one last spring when it came up either here or on the AO list. Dd really likes it, and pulls it out to run through a few scenes here and there. My only wish is that he'd made an add-on with the rest of the characters; it only has the characters for the scenes that they put in the booklet. They're all good classic scenes, but we're on AO Year 4 when we do the whole play, and all the other characters would sure come in handy.

Oh, and if you go to the website you'll find free downloads of props to go with it. :)

Oh that is super cute. And now I'm curious how much you got it for. They still have a few non-bargain priced ones for $14. I'm tempted to buy them...

We just read a mid-summer night's dream, and it would have been awesome to have those cards for keeping track of people.

  • 4 weeks later...

It was 5.98 I think and eligble for Prime ;)

I got it TODAY !!!!

They've got the bargain-priced ones back in stock. How is the quality? Now that you've had them for a little while, do you like them? Do you see any reasons to buy the more expensive set? (I'm just trying to figure out why one costs twice as much as the other when they look identical).

My daughter played with ours the first few days after we got it. The "stage" is a little flimsy, but the characters are cards that you put your fingers through at the bottom and they seemed fairly sturdy. For very little kids it might not be tough enough, but my daughter is 12.

Thanks! I'm looking at this for my older kids. As long as I can keep this out of the hands of my preschooler, It sounds like it should be fine.

Just ordered one -- couldn't resist!

Well then, I'd better get mine before they run out again. ;)

Definitely get one for that price! We aren't studying Shakespeare yet, but I think it will be great when we do. My daughter had fun with it the first few days, and she doesn't usually play with any one thing for even that long!
