justamouse
Anyone know how to? I printed out what design I wanted to use, but how do I transfer that to the material? Last time I embroidered it was in the days that you just ironed the pattern on ... I am old.
RoughCollie
Print out your design on regular paper. (If you need some tips on printing hand embroidery files, check out this tutorial!) Take that carbon paper and place it carbon side down onto your fabric, then place your printed design on top of it. Keep in mind when you’re placing your image that you need enough room around it to be able to hoop the fabric, so don’t put it too close to an edge. http://www.urbanthre...ransfer Methods See also, http://embroidery.about.com/od/Basic-Embroidery-Techniques/a/Five-Methods-For-Transferring-An-Embroidery-Pattern.htm . mumto2
For hand quilting you can tape both the pattern and fabric to the table and trace with a regular mechanical pencil. You really can't see pencil when thread is in place.
