LisaKinVA
That's how much water I'm drinking right now. I thought I was *maybe* drinking 12 cups (close, but not quite a gallon). Today, I decided to measure how much fit in my cup (I've been forcing the water down...trying to really stay hydrated, I was *not* that thirsty). Turns out, instead of 12 cups, I've been drinking over 20! (yesterday was closer to 24, today, I'll finish right around 16). All I can say is WOW, no wonder I thought I was going to float away. My last quart of water today has the added benefit of a whole lemon, a cup of strawberries and 1/2 c. of fresh basil. I plan to nurse it until about 7pm (no liquids after 7...or I'll be up all night!)

Parrothead
I swear the more I drink the thirstier I feel. So I don't force it. Have you had your sugar checked lately?

Wow, that's a lot of water! How long have you been drinking so much? What benefits/changes have you noticed since you've increased your water intake? I'm just working on getting my 8 glasses a day (which can be hard for me sometimes). Would love to hear what kind of difference this has made for you. :bigear:

My face has more moisture (my lips aren't dry, my skin isn't flaking). It has been much more difficult to drink today than the past two...so I think I've got my fluids more normalized. Usually I strive for about 8-10 cups of water a day. Winter is really tough on my skin...and I don't notice I'm not drinking as much water. Remudamom
I used to never drink water. Maybe a cup every three days or so. I hated the way it tasted. So I started putting mio in bottled water, and that helped. Then I slowly weaned myself off that and now I drink a lot every day.
GailV
I swear the more I drink the thirstier I feel. So I don't force it. Actually, that's not unusual. Drinking too much water can whack out your body, including giving you dry mouth. 180Degree Health blog had a recent post on over-consumption of water http://180degreehealth.com/2012/12/your-body-is-mostly-water-not-exactly WARNING: The author writes like a frat boy, complete with stupid jokes and potty mouth, although I don't think this particular post is very raunchy. No clue about the comments, which are typically interesting and informative.
