Sioux Falls and Mt. Rushmore, SD in March?

We went to Mount Rushmore in October, and the attractions we wanted to see were open. However, be sure to plan ahead for your food. Most of the restaurants were closed in Keystone and Hill City.

We saw Mount Rushmore, Custer National Park, Jewel cave, the badlands, Devil's Tower, and some of the Minuteman missile sites. It was a great road trip!

I like living in the immediate vicinity of Sioux Falls, but I don't know what kind of tourist destination it would make. The things there are to do here are not things I'd personally travel far to see, kwim? Unless there's a concert or similar when you're planning to come through, I don't know what you'd do, especially in March. :)

We'll be in Sioux Falls for a conference so mainly hanging out at the hotel then we hope to see Mt. Rushmore and all the other stuff after.

We were there in October. It felt "off season", and a few things were closed. But we had a beautiful day and enjoyed ourselves. However, DO NOT stay at the White House Hotel (something like that). It was awful, so bad that we were just laughing the whole time, because there was no other choice!
