Please help-- need to password protect purchasing on my kindle, can't see how

to do this, can someone please help me? I can't find anywhere on the Amazon account. I am not tech savvy, at all.

The only way I've found around this is to have the kindle "forget" the wifi pword. No wifi=no account access.

On the kindle fire....it is under the "more " tab after tapping the gear/wifi/battery Icon. Choose parental controls. I had to parental control mine over New Years because of a toddler with itchy fingers visiting. :-)

Which Kindle you have might help. I will try though. Slide your finger from the top of your Kindle down. That should bring up a bar, on the far right you should see MORE. Tap on more, the scroll down to PARENTAL CONTROLS. I don't remember now since I did it a while ago, but trap ON by parental controls. I believe next it asks you to set a password. Then you can choose whatever optionsoptions you want. I suggest PASSWORD PROTECT PURCHASES, at the very least.

I have an older kindle, purchased in 2010 around Dec or so.

For your Kindle, TAP on the top right by the battery indicator. Then trap on MORE. Then tap on PARENTAL CONTROLS, then tap ON to the right of Parental controls. Choose a password and type it twice. Then scroll down to PASSWORD PROTECT PURCHASES and tap ON.

It's a bit more of a pain, but if you can't get parental controls on an older Kindle you could not save your credit card information on your Amazon account. I do it to keep myself from impulse purchasing.
