Amira
I have apples in the crockpot for applesauce, dough rising on the counter for bread, the laundry hanging outside, and lunch is on the table. And I've worked with my husband on the ever-present interview. I need to go through my list of meals and add new ones we've tried recently and figure out what we can eat from the freezer for dinner so there will be room for all the applesauce I'm making. And I'll bake the bread and make a second batch of applesauce when the first is done. That's all that's planned for today, I think.

The electrostatic filters have both been cleaned. The kitchen is half clean. Dd has done history and I actually got her to discuss it with me without crying. Ds is doing half of his chemistry test. I didn't yell. I might yell after I see the results but for today, no yelling. ;) Rocky is chasing his breakfast around the dining room. He loves his Kong kibble dispenser. Breakfast and a workout! What a multi-tasker! Next up: Work with dd on spelling and Japanese And finish cleaning the kitchen.

I only got 1/2 of him done. I should still be able to vacuum and make the cranberry bread after dinner. Update: Did the vacuuming and put together the tabletop fountain kids gave me for my birthday in July, yes July. My cat is working up her courage to check out the misbehaving water. She just sits there and looks at it. It was hard to tear myself away from the show of kitty creeping closer, giving it a dirty look and then retreating to the arm of the couch! I thought it was a little bit tacky when I first got it (which is why it took so long for me to set it up) and wondered what Dh was thinking letting them buy it. I'll admit it's kind of neat and pretty with the light on at night. I'm going to try to enjoy it out there away from everyone else and make it part of my quiet little haven. But now I'm off to make Cranberry bread before retiring to the couch. Final update: I'm still contemplating finishing the dog grooming, but I may just call it a day. My shoulders hurt. Isn't it interesting to note which 2 items didn't get done? In my defense, the poor dog needed to be groomed desperately and I'll be able to do my school planing with a clear conscience. (Note: if I had a crown --like Julie--I know I'd get to everything on my list!)

Jean in Newcastle
I totally forgot that a friend was coming over today! Desert Rat
Second Harry Potter movie of the day is playing. :) I did dig up spare frames for some artwork my dear friend sent me for Christmas. They are now hung on my wall so I can see them all the time. I love having generous artist friends! Dinner is in the oven. I built a lego hilt for my ds9's lego sword. I'm not that creative, so I'm pretty proud of myself.
Faithr
It was another good day! I prayed first thing, I got the kids up on time (relatively) I FOUND the read aloud book I needed and read to them over breakfast. We did writing and math. I kept them off the computers until 1:00 p.m. I power walked for 30 minutes with my 14 yo son. I am really proud of that because that's the third day in a row I've managed to exercise! That might be a record for me, LOL. I read a bit and planned some more. I participated in a conference call about Aquinas Learning. I talked to my sister who is getting an hysterectomy on 1/24 :( I cleaned the kitchen. The only bad thing is I completely forgot about an appt I had this afternoon. Boo hiss. Now the older two are working on math homework for their math tutor who is coming an extra day tomorrow (usually she only comes on M and W but the boys needed an extra session). I also want to clean off the chair in my bedroom that always gets covered in clutter.

Jean in Newcastle
Dinner is starting to smell yummy. I'm cooking a lentil soup that someone posted on the soup thread. Next up: have dd pick up her stuff and feed the dogs. Will there be time to do some TSPing of the cat's bathroom? I'm starting to think not. . . Oh, well, visiting with my friend was a lot more fun than cleaning a ceiling and walls.
