Remudamom Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I am either the mother of Bigfoot or a total idiot. At this point it's a toss up. Saw this on my way to the barn this afternoon. Quote

Mabeline Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Ack! I cannot even imagine. I wear wool socks from October through March. My feet hate being cold. Quote
Lara in Colo Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 unfortunately, this happens all too much here. I have a dd that has bare feet all winter and wears snow boots all summer--- *sigh* Quote
lisamarie Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 My best friend while growing up lived next door. I was always running over there barefoot even through the snow. Funny that I make my own kids wear shoes outside even in the summer. Quote
BrookValley. Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Hahahahaha. Oh, I don't know why, that totally made me giggle out loud. And appreciate the wool socks I'm wearing. Quote
Chris in VA Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 ROFL--I just saw ds packing up his car, getting ready to go back to Asheville after seeing us this Xmas. He was barefoot in the driveway (it's not snowy, but it's 35 degrees out). I said AREN'T YOUR FEET COLD? At least he said YES THEY ARE!!! lol... Quote
swellmomma Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I spent 2 years going barefoot even in the winter. It was cold yup, but for me the alternative was major pain if I wore shoes. I don't know why someone would choose to go barefoot in the snow. I was very happy when I had my minor operation to fix my foot so I could wear shoes again. Quote
Beth S Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Our kids will take the trash out, etc. with barefeet in the snow, just for the thrill. Quote
Elinor Everywhere Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 unfortunately, this happens all too much here. I have a dd that has bare feet all winter and wears snow boots all summer--- *sigh* This reminds me of my son. He comes out from his bedroom in the summer wearing sweats and now that it's cold out, he walks out every day in shorts. Each day, each season, I have to tell him what to wear. He's 15!! :banghead: Quote
beezus Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I was expecting flip-flot prints in the snow, but this is way worse! My feet are cold in the house with my socks and boots on. I can't imagine going outside barefoot in the snow! As a kid I got cured of going outside barefoot even in the summer after tearing off a toenail and another time skinning my toes while biking barefoot. Fortunately my dd is fond of wearing shoes outside! Quote
Lady Florida. Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Ha! We went to Washington, D.C. in 2009 for the inauguration, and it was the first time my Florida Boy was in snow. It snowed in Maryland where we were staying. He left something in the car, and had no shoes on when he realized it. I warned him he should put something on his feet but he scoffed. The look on his face when he came back in was priceless. His feet had never experienced such temperatures! Quote
Ewe Mama Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I have Raynaud Syndrome and my feet are turning blue just looking at that picture. Brrrrrrrrrrr! Quote
Punks in Ontario Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Haha. I have a teen that does that regularly. My eyes roll every time I see him walking the 200 m to the neighbours in bare feet and a t shirt in the snow. For a while the older boys were regularly running around the outside of our house in bare feet. Now the youngers have started doing it. :crying: Quote
