Jeans for women with no hips/butt

That pretty much sums it up. I need jeans that stay up (without a belt, preferably) and maybe jeans that also give the illusion of curves where there aren't any. I'm wearing skinny Aeropostale 1/2 jeans and they are falling down (you know, the pudding-butt look)... not because I'm so thin (I have plenty of extra pudge around the middle, esp. since Thanksgiving!) but because I have no hips. I don't like jeans that sit high up; I find them uncomfortable; I like mid-rise. Any suggestions of brands to try? My dh told me today, "your butt is much hotter than it looks in those jeans." I'm feeling like the situation is pretty dire! (In case you get the wrong idea, dh is a sweetheart who compliments me constantly; he is also hilarious. So this comment wasn't offensive at all. It made me laugh and want to ask you all what the heck jeans to get!)

ETA: For those of you thinking "1/2? Cry me a river" I would *love* to have some womanly curves. I'm jealous of women that don't look like teenaged boys in jeans.

Lol. I'm rather well-endowed in the womanly curves. I'd love to share. Too bad!

I hope you find what you are looking to find.

i'm not quite as narrow as you are, but i tend to do well with narrow cut levis. i think you just have to go to the store and try on a ton of jeans, and ask for help if there is anyone looking at all helpful. sometimes the tags will say if they are low rise or curvy or whatever, and obviously you want low rise, straight cut, not curvy

Can you size down on the skinny jeans? If size 1/2 is falling, and you would rather stick to that size, could you bring in the waist just a little?

People with boyish figures, like myself, do well in skinny jeans. Have you seen Old Navy's Rock Star Jeans? You may just have to order from a place that has free shipping and free returns and just keep trying.

I just reread part of your post. I think you need jeans with more spandex and apparently those are more expensive.

I have the very same problem. And I agree, I would much rather have some shape to my hips and an actual waistline. With the exception of one pair of jeans (that was designed to dig in at the waist so there is no back gap), every pair of jeans I own I can slip off without unbuttoning. The problem with going down a size to fit hips/butt is that then there is muffin top. Levi's has a line called Curve ID for women of all shapes. I think the straight shape jeans are called "slight curve". They are not as tapered in at the waist or as roomy in the hips as other jeans that are made to fit the average woman with shape. I have yet to get the droopy pancake butt in those jeans.

I have the opposite problem so my advice might not be great. My younger dd is more straight and is thin. She looks great in jeggings from American Eagle. They are very appropriate looking and not what I would call "trashy". Have you tried them?

Good luck! I think it is good for women to feel good about the way they look no matter what their shape.
