HollyDay
Dd loves "bling" jeans, but she has her own ideas about how she wants to design them. Is there a way to purchase "plain pocket" jeans (like from Old Navy) and "bling" them at home?
Lady Marmalade
Sure you can. Any craft store has a version of a "Bedazzler" that you can use to set stones and rivets and whatnot into jeans. My DD has the one from Wal-Mart, which works great, but the replacement stones are a little pricey, imo. I would suggest practicing first on an old pair of jeans and getting the hang of whatever tool you end up with. That will give your DD an idea of how much pressure to apply and how best to get the studs placed correctly.
HollyDay
yup...dd 11 just checked out a craft book at the library all about this topic. check your library but it had everything from patches to beads to ribbons and keys. the cutest pair had metallic buttons all over the pockets and ankles. dd sewed buttons and sort of military styleed ribbons on the ankles of a pair of hand me down maroon jeans she pinker-cut the hems off since they were too long. Id say take her to the craft store give 5 bucks and let go to town on a cheap pair of jeans. Do you have the title of the library book? I told dd we could go to GoodWill and get a pair of super cheap jeans and she could experiment that way. All her jeans either fit or are being handed down to younger sister, so I don't want to experiment on those.
