TeachingTwins
Stay away from high fat, greasy foods. Spicy foods also bothered me before I had my gall bladder out.

placeofgrace
As mine got worse, it was hard to eat anything and not feel uncomfortable. Until you can get to the doc, I would stay away from fried food. Garlic was also a big "no no" for me. Also, eating smaller portions may help. I always felt worse if I was too full. As far as symptoms go, mine started with major heartburn. The kind that wakes you in the middle of the night and you feel like you're going to die and then you vomit and feel better. :bored: I only had 2 of these episodes. It got to the point where I was very uncomfortable after every meal. I had a tightness, right under my ribcage, in the center. I never had an "attack" with major pain. I suffered like this for a year. Not a good idea! I would get to the doctor as soon as you return from your trip. Praying you feel better soon.
Word Nerd
For me, diet made no difference by the time I had the surgery. I was practically starving myself the week before I had my GB removed and just drinking water because I was afraid to eat, and I still had multiple attacks with severe pain. thebacabunch
No fats. At. all. Get that thing taken care of and get back to normal. Big hugs! Been there done that. It is no fun!
Starr
Bread and water is what the doctor said. I was eating small amounts of chicken, cooked carrots and plain rice without pain. :grouphug:
