wehave8
Is it crazy to do both? I can't let go of R&S English, but I want to do a different writing program. Can I skip the writing assignments in R&S and do EIW? Can I skip the grammar in EIW, or is it woven into the writing? I have Writing Strands and really thought I'd do them, but I don't think I want to go through them agian. I even have the cassette tapes for levels 2, 3, & 4 that are no longer available. Can I skip the writing assignments in R&S and do EIW? Yes ma'am. Can I skip the grammar in EIW, or is it woven into the writing? Not a clue. Maybe starting a thread with that as it's title would get the attention of the EIW posters. I have Writing Strands and really thought I'd do them, but I don't think I want to go through them agian. I even have the cassette tapes for levels 2, 3, & 4 that are no longer available. Pam Then don't. :) We've used other writing curricula alongside R&S without a glitch. The grammar in the writing program was redundant for my kids that had done FLL/R&S from the beginning. However the writing lessons in R&S often complimented the lessons from the other book, and we did most of them anyway. The R&S assignments are generally short, but if a long one happened on the same day there was a lot of writing in CW, the R&S lesson was bumped to the next school day. SFM
I use R&S for grammar but skip the writing portions but we use WWE. So, bump? Maybe others can be of more assistance than myself.
