justme824
I am making a goal to get back to reading this year. I love it, but just haven't been making the time for the past several years. That said, if I could only read three books this year, what three books would you recommend I read. I do plan to read way more than three, but I'd love to see your top three recommendations! I lean towards fiction, but I am interested in trying out a few non-fiction titles too!!! And keep in mind I haven't read much in years so I am sure I've missed some gems. \
Robin M
Entirely depends on what your reading interests are but here's three I'd recommend Night Circus by Eren Morgerstern Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
FLDebbie
My three favorites: A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving The Poinsonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver David Copperfield by Charles Dickens None are new, but they are stories that stick with you. Parrothead
If I could only read three books I would stick with classics. One each from Austen and Dickens, and The Phantom of the Opera.
milovany
If I could only read three books I would stick with classics. One each from Austen and Dickens, and The Phantom of the Opera. I agree. Or Jane Eyre if you haven't read it.
Guest
I LOVED The Night Circus. I also enjoyed Anna Karenina earlier this year. I hope to get back into reading this next year, too.
justme824
Entirely depends on what your reading interests are but here's three I'd recommend I am pretty much open to anything - I like variety. I think Sci-Fi is probably the only thing that I would look the other way on...
FriedClams
The Bible And I recently read To Kill a Mockingbird. I loved it. Maybe it's my living in the South for my adult life, and my Yankee upbringing, I don't know but it totally stuck with me.

Jenny in Florida
I'm afraid you'd have to narrow it down a bit in order for me to even take a stab at suggesting anything. There are just too many wonderful books out there for me to pull three at random.

thebacabunch
I can't recommend 3 per se. I can tell you the 3 books I enjoyed the most last year. I loved The Curious Incident of the Dog in the NIght-time. Another favorite this year was A Passage to India. I am currently reading, and loving, Les Miserables. Dolphin
I would start with easy reads that are good stories, then mix in classics once you are back into reading. Half broke horses Water for Elephants (if you haven't seen the movie) The Help (again, especially if you haven't seen the movie) They are fun, quick reads that will encourage you to read more.
