LostSurprise
I had to get this from a teenage friend's Facebook feed. http://www.lizziebennet.com/ Hank Green (Vlog Brothers) has created a modern day version of Pride and Prejudice using video diaries and other social media (Twitter, tumblr) to tell the story. Its really fun. Click on start from the beginning. It began in April 2012 and its still going. Warning: I would say this was mid-teen and above. Lizzie does refer to Lydia as a 'slut' and tease Jane about her possible physical relationship with Bing Lee. I'm only about half way through the first few months of episodes so I can't say any more. sparrow
I'm going to get started tonight. Thanks for sharing because apparently I don't have cool enough FB friends. I'd never heard of it!
Susann
What fun-off to watch!!!! Thanks!!!!!
AngieW in Texas
My 14yo loves LBD. I started watching it with her, but I am way behind now. My dd loved it so much that we ended up checking out the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice and we both loved it.
PinkInTheBlue
Looks interesting. Thanks! I'll check it out :)
LostSurprise
I'm really enjoying the adaptation of Charlotte (one of my favorite characters), Lydia, and Mr. Collins. They start the Pemberley arc today.
AngieW in Texas
I keep getting pulled in to the LBD world. Today was amazing with all the tweets between the characters. Next week is going to be just awful though. The Lydia portion is really hard to watch now.

Mrs Mungo
I have been watching. The Lydia story line has been so interesting! I am seeing Lydia in a whole new light. But, the next few weeks will be hard. FYI- I am sort of tipsy after going out with old friends, please excuse any craziness and/or mistakes that seep through. LostSurprise
I agree. The woman portraying Lydia has made her a compelling, complex character. I'm not sure the writers were going to go in that direction, but I'm glad they took her lead. Its interesting how many characters they're juggling right now. You have Lizzie on Mondays and Thursdays, Gigi (Georgiana) keeping us up on Darcy Tuesdays and Fridays, texts from various characters, Lydia's story, George's website countdown, and even fan-created accounts like Ann Elliot. Its getting a little crazy.
AngieW in Texas
LBD is killing my productivity. I keep having to rewatch old episodes and read articles about it. So far it has spurred me to watch the 5-hour BBC movie and read the book twice. I want to watch the movie again. And I'm on my 3rd reading of the book. UrbanSue
While I find it oddly compelling, I also get irritated if I watch more than a couple of episodes at once. I reread the book for the fifth or sixth time last week and rewatched all the movies recently. But this one isn't quite doing it for me. Which is maybe better since I don't really need any more time sucks in my life right now :)
LostSurprise
Only 3 more episodes left. What do you think about the Lydia and Jane/Bing resolutions?
Beth S
I gradually got hooked. A very creative adaptation! And they are adept at keeping me hooked. :) The finale is March 28th, the 100th episode. Then, I believe, they will announce their next "classic lit" adaptation choice.
Susan C.
Episode 95?!?!? No way can I catch up. I haven't heard of this until now... Epic fail!
AngieW in Texas
You can catch up surprisingly quickly. My 17yo just started LBD three weeks ago and got caught up in a few days. The videos are quite short.
