We school Jan-Dec. Even though we live in a non-reg state, I do keep a journal of our school year and am trying to wrap it up. We will have some volunteer hours tomorrow that will need to be logged (We help a local charity tear down, inventory and box up all left-over toy donations for next year) and we have two more field trips before New Year's Eve.

In January, I will find time to sift through all of our photos from the year and assemble a yearbook/scrapbook for our past school year.

For the first time since we started homeschooling, we presented an 'open house' to DH a few weeks ago. We laid out all of our school work, by subject, around the kitchen table.

It was a nice way to see what all we have done this year and help DH realize we don't just play around with art and science all day. ;) It was also amazing to see DC talk about different things we have done this year, specifically things we did nearly a full year ago! Books remembered, science projects fondly talked about, etc.

Now... Got to think about actually planning out our next school year! We start January 3rd and I am woefully unprepared.

I am mostly done with mine;I update every semester.

For DS: monthly logs to document hours; reading list, short description of coursework and list of materials used.Printed out his history presentation. Need to get samples of his creative writing. Math book is not finished, so no semester final and no grade.

For DD: wrote up course descriptions for her college application; reading list, collected tests and labs from her physics class; still have to get some papers from her French stuff. Added program from her choir concert. She's in charge of keeping a log of her horseback riding to document the hours she needs for US Equestrian Federation High school Athlete status.
