Night Elf
Thank you Susan! That was very helpful. I did place one in high school as a freshman and am still homeschooling my junior. It's what is right for each one. I've homeschooled for 12 years now and I reached a burn out point myself. That was when my DH stepped in and started doing more with our son. It has worked really well because DH is the kind of person who knows something about everything and he's been able to help my son see and understand the material beyond the textbook. We feel very lucky indeed to be able to do this. We also school year round which allows my son to take occasional breaks throughout the year to help him get past burn out. It's not an easy road but I think it's all been worth it so far.
