Veritaserum
MIL asked for dark red mugs. The color she's thinking of would be red mixed with a little black or brown. Online it looks like paprika might be what we want since scarlet looks like a pure red. Can anyone who has seen both colors in real life verify this? Thanks! :)
gingersmom
I have a scarlet red plate and it is a very red red (hope that makes sense :001_smile: )
Parrothead
Paprika has a bit of orange. I can take a photo of each if you want.

itsheresomewhere
Scarlet is a nice good red. The paprika is more orangey brown compared to the scarlet.
Parrothead
Not sure why it is so huge. The one on the left is scarlet. Paprika is on the right
nukeswife
I think the color you're looking for is called cinnabar. It's a deeper darker red. http://www.amazon.com/Fiesta-10-1-4-Ounce-Mug-Cinnabar/dp/B0000CAQ9K/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1355961355&sr=8-5&keywords=fiestaware+cinnabar

Veritaserum
Thanks! I think paprika will fit the bill. :)
justLisa
I just bought my mom some in paprika. It's pretty. It has some brown/orange in it. That picture is a really good representation
