theYoungerMrsWarde
Apparently they are collecting paper snowflakes to decorate the school for when the kids get back. I got the information from jenbrdsly's blog. Here's the link to the information. I thought it would be a nice way we could contribute. I posted some links to Pinterest pins with snowflake patterns on my blog post.
theYoungerMrsWarde
Bump. I really thought this was something you guys would get behind. :confused1:
Farrar
I had seen it. And dh was having the kids do it. I think it was really smart of the PTSA there to think of something like this - in most tragedies, people can send money and supplies because people need them, but that's not the case this time and people want to help. theYoungerMrsWarde
Bumping again. If you read this and decide to do it would you please post on here so we can keep this high enough that other people will see it? I really think this is something worthwhile. Unicorn.
Dd (8th grade) came home from school today and told me they spent their English class making snowflakes for Sandy Hook. I think her teacher had relatives in the school (none hurt). I'm glad they are participating- I was thinking of having my girls make some over the break. lmrich
When are they going back? I can not imagine ever returning. This would be a great scout activity.

Isabella
I don't think they will be returning to the old school - somewhere I read said it was to be in a new building.
Joker
Thanks for the information! I think we will do this and I posted it on my FB page as well.
ELaurie
A little girl in the town where my sister lives began inviting to people make snowflakes at her house - so many families were interested in participating that the event has been moved to a local church. theYoungerMrsWarde
When are they going back? I can not imagine ever returning. This would be a great scout activity. I read sometime in January. I cannot imagine returning either. Imagine the possible PTSD for those kids! But they can't leave the whole building closed for the next few years, right?
