SJ.
I bought dh a french press for Christmas and now I am wondering if he can use regular coffee or if I need to get a coffee grinder. If I need a grinder please give some recommendations, preferably something on amazon. Thanks!
justLisa
I think it's best to use a coarse ground coffee, but I have never bought coffee pre ground. You definitely don't need a fancy grinder because it doesn't need to be ground fine.
crazyforlatin
Course ground for sure, but I grind coffee at Costco, which sells organic coffee beans.
MFG
I use a cheapy Mr. Coffee grinder that I bought on clearance one time. It works fine for me.
Harriet Vane
You can use regular grounds, but I find that fresh ground coffee is so divine that I vastly prefer to buy beans and grind them myself.
SJ.
Any suggestions for a grinder?
redsquirrel
I have always just used ground from the store. No course ground or anything like that.

Do you have problems with too many grounds getting into your coffee?
jenn-
I do a coarse grind on the machine at Costco. I keep saying I will get a grinder but that would add another step to my foggy morning brain coffee making.
