Thanks for writing that. I have lived in Sandy Hook for 18 years and I have been trying hard to explain to people that this place is incredibly special. It feels like a place that has been plucked right out of a Norman Rockwell painting but with an amazing amount of tolerance thrown in. The people here are accepting of everyone and the kids are cherished. I never sent my kids to the Sandy Hook Elementary School because I wanted to homeschool them, not because it isn't a warm, loving, wonderful environment. I hope that this amazing place will find a reason to smile again because the people here only deserve the best.
