momofkhm
I'm trying to decide to buy a one year Bible so the planned readings are all there, in order. or to use the app to have the readings all there, in order. I want to do a chronological reading plan this year. But I either get way behind or way ahead. (This year I finished my Bible in a year reading plan in October.) I rarely stay on track. Does the app allow for that? Will it bring up whatever I last read, or will it bring up the assigned reading for the day? And will it let me read ahead? I've found a softcover one year chronological Bible for $10 so it's not a lot. But why spend the money if I don't have to?
Lizzie in Ma
Yes, I've used it for years, it is fantastic.
speedmom4
I have the YouVersion app. I haven't see the chronological reading plan though. I will definitely check that out. Thanks, Elise in NC
momofkhm
I just finished the YouVersion plan called Chronological a few days ago! I really enjoyed reading through the Bible in that way - helped me get a better understanding of the whole context of Scripture. They have a thing called "catch me up," which does what you're saying - makes it so that the current day (or maybe the previous day, I'm not sure) is the last completed day in the plan. So if you get ahead or behind, you can just click that button to adjust it to where you are at that point. ETA: It will bring up the assigned reading for that day, but you can scroll through the days to catch up or to read ahead. Thanks! Just what I wanted to know. Now, do I want to start now or wait until the first of the year?.... hmmm....
chepyl
It is great! There are many different reading plans! The catch me up feature is great for when you get ahead or behind. It is very user friendly. I love that you can with back and forth from one translation to another. If you come across a difficult section of scripture, try reading a different translation, it has helped me so much!
