extendedforecast
Dd14 was just diagnosed with the flu today. She began having symptoms on Saturday night, which included a sore throat and headache and then a fever and red eyes this morning. Dd10 had a sore throat last night and this morning, but she was in good spirits and had no fever, so I sent her to school. Now that oldest dd has tested positive for the flu, should I keep the younger dd home as a precaution, or just send her until she develops more symptoms? I plan on calling the dr. tomorrow to see if they want to see dd10, but they don't open until after school starts. So WWYD?
extendedforecast
Bump. This is only an issue because of the school' strict policy on absences.
Catwoman
I would keep her home.
staceyobu
I would only keep a kid home from school if he/she is too sick to go. I wouldn't keep them home based on a sibling being sick. So, if she has a sore throat and you think it's the flu, keep her home. If it seems like nothing, I'd send her on. More than likely, she exposed everyone yesterday anyways... Pippen
I'd send her until she has definite symptoms. Her sore throat could be from a different bug.
