Lazer tag?

We are struggling to come up with a gift for our 12 year old boy and 15 year old boy. Our budget for their big gift is $60-80 but we will spend a bit more if needed. They want things like laptops and the new iPod touch but they aren't getting that.

Today I thought if laser tag. They have played at a place before and liked it. The sets seem to be about$60 and have enough for two players. I am thinking we would get them each a set so we could actually play with four people. Is this a good idea? Where would we get them as its too late for amazon? Specific brands etc? I am totally clueless but desperate for some kind of gift they will like.

We have a different idea for the 15 year old so we could do just one set and see if they like it but there are lots of people in this house that could play it might be more fun to have more.

Thanks!

We have a huge field and pond for the subdivision behind us so 10yo's aunt got him a set for his birthday here. He and his buddy love them, but the buddy is a little too young to really get how to play lazer tag. Your guys are older so I see them really liking it. The nice thing about the set she bought was that as we get more sets, or someone comes over with a set, we can program them in so they all work together. I would look for that feature.

My mom got these for DS a couple years ago for Christmas http://www.amazon.co...words=lazer tag . They have held up quite well and are a big hit, with older kids and DH as well. He had told me that one of the guns was broken so they have been sitting but when I cleaned out his room a couple months ago, just to be sure, I added new batteries and that was the problem  . Obviously, they haven't been battery hogs, since we're just now changing batteries.

Both DH and DS like that you can use mirrors to attack.

We had to make rules about how close for shooting or it took the fun away.
