plain jane
Looking for reviews on this science kit that is recommended in the WTM. http://www.rainbowresource.com/pictures/043662/99de7cea3ea44a40bf0c4435 Is it worth getting or is there better? kroe1
I don't have that one, but it looks great from the picture. I like a volcano that comes with the plaster powder that has to be mixed, molded, and painted. That way I can call it art lesson as well as science. LOL. Χάων
We spent a great deal of time and energy on the volcano for the sides to slide off and break. Not worth it.

Arcadia
We use salt dough to make a volcano. Instructions for making salt dough and the volcano are here http://chemistry.about.com/od/chemicalvolcanoes/ss/volcano.htm We use the remainder of the salt dough to make christmas ornaments.
