GraciebytheBay Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Do you still use your Ipod Touch? Thinking of getting an Ipad mini and wondering if I should plan to give one of the kids my ipod. Quote
runbikeswim Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Just for music when I'm working out. I barely even use my computer or laptop since I bought an ipad. I LOVE it :) Quote
DawnM Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 No, but I have an iphone now and DO use that ALL THE TIME! ipod touch has gone to my youngest child now. He uses it all the time. Quote
TheReader Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 technically the iPad is DH's and the iPod Touch is a family unit; we use the iPod touch as our main radio/music during the day. always. but not much of anything else. He uses/we use the iPad for just about everything else, but hardly ever for music. Quote
Arcadia Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 My iPod touch is my PDA and camera. I use that for reminders to pay bills, kids classes and take candid photos. It is also much lighter and smaller to throw my iPod into my handbag than my iPad. I use my iPad for internet surfing, youtube and playing games. So both serve different functions. Quote
DyslexicParent Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 DD has 2 iPod Touch (4Gen & 2Gen), an Android tablet, Nintendo 3DS, etc., but she ignores the bigger tablet and others in favour of the iPod Touch 4th generation. She brings the Touch 2Gen to her no-smart devices school as part of her accommodations. I use my PC 99% of the time and would never have paid for these under-powered devices, but I either won them as prizes or DD got them as gifts. I gave away a third iPod Touch that I had won. Quote
Desert Rat Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I use my ipod a lot for music, particularly during work and when sitting at sports to drown out the background noise. It makes it easier for me to read. I also have a docking station in the house that I use to recharge my ipod and listen to music while cleaning etc. I will occasionally use my touch to check email or fb if I'm waiting on a message, but other than that I don't like the small screen. We have two ipads that are my boys, a gift from my mom for Christmas. We've been learning how to use them for school and the boys enjoy them during the day. Dh and I use them at night. Dh has been using one during sports too. We don't have 4g on any of our devices, so we rely on wifi wherever we go. Quote
