Geminid Meteor Shower Tonight

We just came in from looking up. It's an awesome show since it's a new moon. We saw lots of little ones, several "good" ones, and one fire ball. I wanted to stay out longer, but the kids were cold.

We went, too! My other 3 kids are asleep, but my 7yoDS and I had a really sweet time together - he was pretty impressed! 28' here, so we pooped out around 45 min.

 

It's supposed to be awesome at 3am.

We watched it last night, too!! After we went back into the house, my 5 yro started crying. She said that she wanted to see it again. So, my husband had to get his coat on and go back outside with her. :D

We were out for about an hour and a half. It was COLD, but it was the best meteor shower I've ever seen (dh too). Very very big and bright. It was awesome :)

We did it! The kids actually got up on their own at 2 and we all went out to a field. Saw about 20 in 15 mins then we were too cold and called it a night. But it was worth it.

We went out early around 10:00. The kiddos counted 62 in about 20 minutes. I think the count was a bit high as they were trying to outdo each other. But it was a wonderful time for everyone.

Going to try again tonight though. It has been sooooo clear for weeks and now it gets cloudy!

It was too cloudy here too. It was fine until I went out to look for them and then in next 15minutes or so it completely clouded over.
