Osmosis Mom
Where do I find the break down? We have done up until Saxon Advanced Math.
Jann in TX
If you do the first 60-70 lessons in Advanced Math you will have Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2. If you complete the whole Advanced Math then you would add in Pre-Calc (or one semester of College Algebra and one semester of Trig). If you only work Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 you do not have a Geometry credit.

Thanks so much.
Faithr
My oldest two students did exactly what Jenn in TX is suggesting. They listed Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry and they completed the first 3rd of Advanced Math in order to be able to say they completed their Geometry credit. Son #2 looks like he's going to finish Advanced Math this year, so thanks for posting how it should be listed on a transcript! It does seem like you could call it Pre-Calc/Trig. Or would that be overstating things? Doesn't it give enough Trig to count for a credit?
Jim
If you google Art Reed and then select his newsletter he explains how it was met to be listed. You'll see his description toward the bottom of the April 2012 edition. Ellie
Algebra 1 : Saxon Algebra 1 Algebra 2: Saxon Algebra 2 Geometry: Saxon Algebra 1 and 2 and Advanced Math Pre-Calculus: Saxon Advanced Math Is this what you suggest we write on the transcript? Thanks so much. Well, you don't usually include the name of texts used on a transcript. All you need to do is this: Algebra 1-1 credit Algebra 2-1 credit Geometry-1 credit. Pre-Calculus-1 credit (or half a credit?)

This is what I would do, but I plan to use a page of text used because I think that helps to verify what you've done.

Titles of texts or other methods/materials would be included in course descriptions. Not all colleges want course descriptions. We only provide those if asked for them.
