Lori D.
Getting ready to place a Rainbow Resource order, and they've got a lot of these "cracking the SAT", "preparing for SAT", "take actual SAT tests" etc. -- what should I get that REALLY IS the best? Would like DS (going into 10th) to have some chances to practice this year in the (relatively) calm atmosphere of home. : ) Thanks in advance! Lori D. langfam
We found the Official SAT Study Guide to be best. Didn't like "Cracking The SAT".
Kareni
I agree with Langfam about the big blue book (Official SAT Study Guide). It's this one: Official SAT Study Guide I'd recommend adding another book with study tips. Can you check out the other titles at a local bookstore or your library? Perhaps let your son choose the one that speaks to him. Regards, Kareni

It's put out by the College Board. The best study guide we found was Rocket Review.
carolinagirl710
I seem to remember SWB's favorite was Barron's SAT Prep. I used it this summer for a SAT Prep class (I only handled the verbal portion) and I found it to be excellent - great vocabulary section. Rocket Revolution received high marks from Amazon and from local families. Elaine in PA
