I've been listening to Morning Raja/Evening Raga.

 

My wife and I saw him play at UCLA Royce Hall with his daughter many moons ago. What a fine artist.

When I graduated from college, I moved into a house with two of my friends. We used to listen to Ravi Shankar while cleaning the house. Takes me back over 20 years. Sad to hear.

Awwww . . .we saw him and his daughter at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra a few years ago. I'm glad I got that chance.

 

According to my husband, I am the LAST person on the planet to realize Nora Jones is his daughter. I just learned this today.

I saw him with Zakir Hussain at Carnegie Hall. I paid for good seats, and it was fabulous.

This is sad. I'll have to see if I have anything not on vinyl of his. This takes me back waaaay too many years. I learned about him because of George, who also left us too soon.
